BIOSAL® natural mineral salts and mineral mud provide you with the benefits of the Dead Sea minerals. Here you will find a detailed analysis of the mineral content.

BIOSAL® Mineral bath salt

P
our 250g of mineral salt in a bathtub filled with warm water. Relax for about 20 minutes, later rinsing yourself.

In case of specialized therapies (e.g. athlete's foot, rheumatism in wrist, elbow, joints), 100g of mineral salt poured into a small container suffices.

It is recommended to apply warm compresses to any body parts which cannot be submerged in water (e.g. facial eczema, shoulder pain, etc.). How to prepare the compress: drench a towel in warm, mineral salt water and lay it on the affected areas. Repeat this procedure several times until water has cooled.

Your first BIOSAL® mineral salt bath will convince you of its refreshing and invigorating effects!

A more powerful, especially purifying effect can result by rubbing in the mineral salt. Massage BIOSAL® natural salts in circular fashion on top of your skin, subsequently rinsing body parts with water.

Multi-day Therapy

Fill the bathtub with hot water (as hot as possible) adding 300g BIOSAL® mineral bath salt. The entire body must remain submerged for about 30 minutes. This procedure should be repeated during 3-4 consecutive days, subsequently 4-6 days with the reduced quantity of 280g of mineral salt (added to hot water). Continuing, a mineral salt bath (250g added to hot water) should only be taken every other day during the course of a week, ensued by a bath once a week (250g of mineral salt).

After each bath, we recommend applying a normal skin cream to sensitive areas, which may have suffered some irritation. Biosal R11® is ideally suited for this purpose.

BIOSAL mineral bath salt® can also be applied to a damp face by rubbing in the salt for a few minutes.

The same method can be used for intensive application on other body parts, as well as on the head, always massaging in circular fashion.

BIOSAL® Mineral Mud Powder

BIOSAL® black mud powder is pure natural mud in powdered form, thus very effective and economical. In addition, it does not have to be heated like in the case of a liquid facial mask. Stir BIOSAL® black mud powder in a small vessel adding some hot water, and your mud mask is ready for use!

The facial mask is recommended for all skin types. For normal to dry skin, mixing the mask once a week suffices, while in the case of greasy or impure skin, the mask should be applied twice a week. While applying the facial mask and even for some time after having rinsed your face, the skin feels warm and produces a slight itching sensation. These effects are due to the enhanced blood circulation and smoothening produced by the mask.

In order to treat scalp and hair, simply massage BIOSAL® black mud into hair. After mud has dried, rinse hair thoroughly. This strengthens hair roots, and eliminates dandruff from the scalp and superfluous grease from hair.

BIOSAL® black mud is ideally suited for treating skin illnesses located on difficult-to-reach body parts (e.g. back, elbow, etc.). Simply spread mineral mud over area, allow to dry for 20 minutes, subsequently rinse off.

Therapy Instructions

For facial beauty masks. Add one teaspoon of mud powder to a heat-resistant container (e.g. porcelain, glass) stirring boiling water to it until a spreadable, liquid cream results. The container should then be placed inside a vessel filled with hot water, in order to keep the cream warm.

When the mud has reached an acceptable temperature, it is spread over the skin using fingers or a spatula, keeping the head slightly reclined. Now perform a compress, laying damp, warm towels on the mask, repeating this procedure for 7-10 minutes in the case of normal skin (10-15 minutes for greasy skin).

Following the treatment, rinse face (care should be taken in the area around the eyes) with lukewarm water, removing all mud. Treat any sensitive skin partitions with BIOSAL® Cream 8 or R11®, both especially developed and ideally suited for this purpose.

The previously described mineral mud procedure is also suited for treating pain resulting from rheumatism or arthritis. The following differences to the facial mask should be kept in mind:

  • instead of teaspoon use soupspoon
  • the mud should be applied generously, covering the fringes, the area not affected by pain.

Wrap a thin plastic film around any body parts treated in this way. A damp, warm towel is used to cover the plastic to produce a compress. Fasten the towel until it cools off, subsequently drench it in hot water and repeat this procedure for approx. 20 minutes.

The described treatment should be performed once a day, preferably prior to going to bed, during 4-6 consecutive days. This period can be extended in cases of persisting pain.
